Dress for Success about to start S.O.S. (Send One Suit) Weekend this Thursday.
This Thursday, March 1 through Sunday, March 4 Dress for Success Southern Nevada, an affiliate of the international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, will start is S.O.S. (Send One Suit) Weekend.
“This annual campaign encourages women to donate one new or nearly-new interview suit to help another woman enter the workforce and take charge of her life,” said Paige Candee, Dress for Success Southern Nevada founder. “These donations will greatly help women in Southern Nevada to achieve self sufficiency.”
“Because of Dress for Success, I believe in myself again,” said Sahna Aubert, a Dress for Success client. “I starting believing in myself again and realized I was worth something.”
Last year, 278,000 items were donated at Dress Barn stores nationwide. Stores in Clark County will once again accept donations of new or nearly-new professional apparel for women during the S.O.S. weekend. Click here for a recent Channel 13 story on Dress for Success’ S.O.S Weekend.
